The Story Behind the Photo
This piece of “Americana” has so much intrigue, and the more you study it the more it will draw you in. The focus on the little boy exploring the fridge with his mother peacefully observing shares a sense of nostalgia and humor, especially once you notice his Mohawk and her dog-collar studded platform flip flops.
The subjects are Effie’s sister and nephew, who at the time of this picture was just days from walking and about to celebrate his first birthday!
